    St. Croix Riverfest 2008

       June 13-14, 2008 in Solon Springs, Wisconsin

       River of Life  by Kay Karras, Poet Laureate of Solon Springs

St. Croix Riverfest is a two-day (Friday & Saturday) community-based celebration of the Upper St. Croix – Eau Claire Rivers Watershed, and is intended to recognize local citizens and organizations and to promote stewardship of our streams, lakes, rivers, and wetlands. 

The Riverfest 2008 theme is Meet the waters, Meet the People, Celebrate our Nature:

  •  Watershed Conference on Friday to discuss pride of place, our common historical legacy, and the status of the health of the watershed.  Included will be presentations by local groups, youth and adult citizen volunteers, and agencies.
  •  Patagonia Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival on Friday evening & Kid's Special Film Festival on Saturday.
  •  Festival of the Arts on Saturday.
  •  Watershed-wide community-events celebration on Saturday including canoe rides, water trail paddle, underwater video demonstration, pontoon classroom, youth events, local tours, and much more.  All Saturday events are free.
  •  St. Croix Living History project.
